New York, NY, June 17, 2016 – Spike TV takes a compelling look at one of the most popular MMA fighters of all time, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as he returns to battle Olympic gold medalist Satoshi Ishii at Bellator: Dynamite 2 in the original one-hour documentary, “Rampage Returns,” premiering Tonight, Friday, June 17 at 11:00pm ET/PT.
From a tumultuous family life while growing up in Memphis, to discussing the difference in his two personalities Quinton and Rampage, “Rampage Returns” is a revealing look at what motivates the controversial and outspoken MMA legend. The show also gives viewers an exclusive look at Rampage’s grueling training sessions in Huntington Beach, CA with his training team led by former fighter and renowned trainer Tiki Ghosn. As motivation, they visit the places Rampage used to train when he began fighting 15 years ago as he reflects on how far he has come in life.
The lighter, whimsical side of Jackson is also showcased as cameras follow him to various commercial shoots.
Jackson is currently riding a four-fight winning streak including victories over “King Mo,” Christian M’Pumbu, and Joey Beltran in the Bellator cage.
In his return to the Bellator cage, Rampage takes on Satoshi Ishii, an MMA star from Japan, who has already climbed to the pinnacle of another combat sport, having won Gold in Judo in the +100 KG division at the 2008 Olympics. In MMA, Ishii has fought many of the sport’s biggest names including Fedor Emelianenko, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, and Tim Sylvia. His fight against “Rampage” will be his first on American soil.
