UFC VETERAN RYAN JIMMO PASSES AWAY

UFC veteran and former Maximum Fighting Championships Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Jimmo has passed away at the age of 34. According to various media outlets, Jimmo had gotten into an altercation early Sunday (6/26) morning and the men got into a truck and drove right into Jimmo, the Edmonton (Canada) Police Services are treating this as a homicide via hit and run, the suspects remain at large as of this writing.

During his nine year MMA career, Jimmo had fought top names like Jesse Forbes, Marvin Eastman, Emanuel Newton, Wilson Gouveia, Zak Cummings, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Anthony Perosh, James Te Huna and Ovince St. Preux. Jimmo’s last bout before passing away was a loss to Francimar Barroso at UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Alves. Jimmo is also tied with a host of other UFC fighters for the fastest knockout in company history, when he knocked out Anthony Perosh in seven seconds at UFC 149.
