On July 16, MCW Pro Wrestling's most prestigious event of the year, "The Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup", takes place at the MCW Arena. It is appropriate that this is our first event under the "MCW Pro Wrestling" name.
However, earlier today information was released from the Office of the General Manager without my knowledge involving former MCW employees, Chris Swann and George Jenkins. After a conversation with our legal team, we have made the following decision:
Chris Swann and George Jenkins, collectively known as F.U., will face The Hell Cats, Jimmy Starz and Sexy Steve, in an Unsanctioned Tag Team Street Fight. This match on July 16 is not sanctioned by the Maryland State Athletic Commission or MCW Pro Wrestling.
As this match is unsanctioned, it is not confined by traditional rules and may spill out of the ring. Additional security will be on hand to ensure the safety of MCW Pro Wrestling fans and officials.
Some may say that this chaotic situation was always going to end this way. Perhaps this will add to the intensity of an amazing night of action at the Shamrock Cup and put an end one of the most contentious situations I've dealt with in professional wrestling.
