SHIMMER Women Athletes returns to live action in the Chicago area the weekend of November 11th through November 13th! SHIMMER 86-90 will take place over the course of three days of tapings. The events that Friday and Saturday will be held at Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago, while the Sunday show will take place at the Eagles Club in Berwyn.
We're pleased to announce that Mickie James will join the SHIMMER roster on our November 11th & 12th events at Logan Square Auditorium! Mickie has been a key figure in women's pro wrestling for the past 15 years, helping to lay the groundwork for the rise of women's wrestling on the independent scene during the early 2000's, and then appearing on worldwide television shortly thereafter. On 11/11 & 11/12, we look forward to celebrating the 11th anniversary of SHIMMER by finally adding Mickie James to the list of amazing competitors who have wrestled on our events!
Tickets for the November SHIMMER events will go on sale this Sunday, August 7th. For local fans who would like to purchase tickets in person, we will have them available at the SHIMMER Viewing Party at Cigars & Stripes (6715 Ogden Ave.) in Berwyn beginning around 5:30pm CT that afternoon. Online ticket sales at www.SHIMMERwrestling.com will begin at 8pm CT. We will also have tickets available in person at all upcoming AAW live events in the Chicago area. For fans in the Chicago area, we will have a fan meet-up and SHIMMER Viewing Party this Sunday, August 7th. It will take place at Cigars & Stripes (6715 Ogden Ave.) in Berwyn, IL beginning around 5:30pm CT (immediately following the Cubs game). We will be showing SHIMMER matches on the big screen, and will also have tickets for the November events and DVDs on hand for those interested in purchasing them in person. If you're in the area, join us on Sunday night at Cigars & Stripes!

The November SHIMMER weekend will kick off with a very special event for performers and fans on Thursday, November 10th! Expect a proper press release once a few of the final details fall into place, but for now, here is what you should know.
For women wrestlers (and managers, referees, etc.):
The day kicks off with a seminar at the world famous Berwyn Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL, with a 12pm report time. This seminar will be open to fully trained and currently working performers looking to further develop their skills and advance their career. What we can share for now is that we have confirmed two very high profile trainers with a combined 43 years of experience, spanning dozens of promotions around the globe. You will be hard pressed to find two individuals more highly regarded in the same seminar at the same time (and also in the United States).
Information with specifics on pricing, times, and expectations will be provided next week. This is a golden opportunity for women wrestlers to not only learn, but also display their abilities and make an impression on SHIMMER management, as well as scouts from several other women's wrestling companies from around the world who will be in attendance for evaluation purposes.
For fans:
A live event will also take place at the Berwyn Eagles Club on November 10th, with an 8pm bell time. Tickets will be $10 Front Row and $5 General Admission. This event will have a unique format, and a few layers yet to be disclosed-- some of interest to the fans, some of interest to the performers. The card will consist of women selected from the training seminar earlier in the day.
