A featherweight division encounter that will be pitting BJ Penn on the other side of the cage against Ricardo Lamas. Penn will be returning to action after a two-plus year absence, but he is a former welterweight and lightweight champion. Lamas has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night: Magny vs. Gastelum. UFC Fight Night 97 takes place on October 15th from the SM Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
