A pair of championship bouts as Kevin Aguilar defends the featherweight title against Damon Jackson and Steven Peterson defends the bantamweight title against Mark De La Rosa. Aguilar will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Tony Kelley at Legacy FC 57. Jackson will be competing for the first time since his UFC release, which came after a majority draw against Levan Makashvili at UFC On Fox 18.
Peterson will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Manny Vazquez at Legacy FC 56. De La Rosa is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and he is the current Superior Combative Championships Bantamweight Champion. Legacy Fighting Championships 61 takes place on October 14th from the Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas with Kevin Aguilar and Damon Jackson headlining.
