Longtime UFC matchmaker and vice president of talent relations, Joe Silva, has announced that he will be leaving the UFC by the end of the year. Silva has been with the promotion for over two decades, even before the company was purchased by Zuffa in 2001. Rumors have suggested that Silva is leaving due to the change in ownership, as WME-IMG bought the MMA promotion from Zuffa earlier this year. Silva is not the only matchmaker in the UFC, as Sean Shelby had been handling the duties for the featherweight division and other such lighter weight classes.
