Number 1 Contenders Match set for September 24
ECWA is picking up the pace to send 2016 off with a bang! The race to the end of the year begins on Saturday September 24, 2016 at the ECWA Anniversary Show! Not only is it the companies’ birthday, it marks year 49 of great professional wrestling! That’s almost HALF A CENTURY of independent wrestling which is a feat that will be celebrated by the fans and management alike!
Luckily, ECWA management didn’t have to look far to create fireworks to mark the special occasion. As a matter of fact, you could say the drama unfolded for all to see!
On Thursday August 25, 2016 ECWA presented it’s Fan Appreciation Show. As usual everyone was prepared for a fun night…. But what occurred was anything but expected.
‘Old School’ Eric Martin has been a thorn in ECWA booker Joe Zanolle’s side. Every chance he gets him and his partner Tyler Stone, together known as ‘The Classics’, have caused havoc. It’s become made even worse as they gained the support of ECWA owner Mike Tartaglia… Martin’s made quite the name for himself battling legends like Tito Santana, Tony Atlas, and even ECWA’s resident legend Meisure Ooh La La. And lately Stone has made a name for himself with his power, himself having impressive showings against notable company names like Josh Adams and Chuck Payne.
It’s the aforementioned Chuck Payne that is the focus here. Martin put on a clinic of a match with Josh Adams as the main event of the first half of the Fan Appreciation Show. You’d think that’d be enough to pacify his enormous ego… but no. For some reason, he has targeted Chuck Payne. After a fiery exchange of words ringside and a well placed slap to the face the two men had to pulled apart by security and officials. Obviously, business was just getting started.
Flash forward to later in the evening.
Chuck Payne and Breaker Morant had a HUGE back and forth main event match. As the dust settled and Morant took victory The Classics’ manager the Don appeared at ringside staring down the two men. Enter Eric Martin steel chair in hand. After dumping an injured Morant to the floor, he would blast Chuck not once but twice with the chair! The crowd was stunned into silence!
As the Don and Martin berated the basically unconscious Chuck Payne, an old face came walking through the curtain…
It was Chuck’s former tag team partner Kyle Payne! However, as ECWA fans will remember Kyle was a former client of the Don’s and had a long standing feud with his former partner that ended with a brutal chain match. What was Kyle doing here?
Egged on by the Don and with a smirking Martin, it seemed bad blood was coming back to the ECWA. Martin passed the chair to Kyle and told him to finish off his brother and former partner for good. As Chuck struggled to his feet… it seemed like the end.
But NO! Kyle blasted Martin with the chair and it sent him and the Don running!
As Chuck got to his feet, he turned to see his brother…. And all was good again. A huge hug and the fans erupted with delight… the EXTREME REDNECKS WERE BACK!
Now that you know the story… ECWA booker Joe Zanolle has decided to settle the score. And it has championship implications to go along with it!
‘The Classics’ of ‘Old School’ Eric Martin and Tyler ‘The Hammer’ Stone will take the reunited Extreme Rednecks, Chuck & Kyle Payne on Saturday September 24, 2016 at the Anniversary Show!
And the winning team will become the NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS TO THE ECWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS!
This is going to be EXPLOSIVE! NO PUNCHES WILL BE PULLED! IT’S GOING TO BE TAG TEAM WAR! The Payne’s are out for revenge… the Classics are out for glory. Who will take it all home? This is must see live pro wrestling at it’s best!
