DEMOLITION, STEVIE RICHARDS, SHANE DOUGLAS, KEVIN SULLIVAN AND MORE SET FOR WORLD-1 IN NEW JERSEY THIS SATURDAY

By Mike Johnson on 9/14/2016 11:06 AM

WORLD-1 returns to Morganville NJ this Saturday (9/17) with Ax and Smash of DEMOLITION, Stevie Richards, Shane Douglas, "Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan and Virgil for an event for the Parents of Autistic Children (poac.net) organization!

DEMOLITION make their WORLD-1 debut!

Demolition's opponents have been announced for September 17th! Ax and Smash of the legendary tag team Demolition will be in action on September 17th in Morganville NJ. Their opponents will be Kyle Kristopher and L.A Vin! L.A Vin, managed by the Mayor, is a former North American champion, and has successfully teamed with WWE Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff recently. Kyle Kristopher has been on the receiving end of some beat downs in recent months. From Sandman, to Abyss, to Tatanka literally breaking the ring with Kyle's body. Kristopher has earned the fans respect despite his cocky attitude.

Demolition, former WWE Tag Team champions were one of the faces of WWE's legendary Tag Team division when it was at it's peak. Last month fans erupted in excitement when they were announced for this match.

Prince Christoph Vs Stevie Richards II

On June 18th Prince Christoph faced his toughest challenge to date, ECW and WWE Legend Stevie Richards. When it appeared Stevie had the match and W1 championship won, Christoph's partner Sam Shields made his way out to the ringside and made sure Prince Christoph walked away with the gold. WORLD-1 commissioner Nic Osia promised that things will be different on September 17th at the Bull Pen.

"If Sam Shields gets involved and tries to assist Prince Christoph in any way....Prince Christoph will forfeit the WORLD-1 championship. I saw what happened at our last event when Sam Shields interfered. Sabu might be W1 champion right now if it wasn't for Shields. I know for a FACT that Stevie Richards would've won the championship last time. Let's see how Christoph does when he has to abide by the rules."

It appears as though Stevie Richards will finally get his hands on Prince Christoph one on one.

Jay D Luscious Vs WWE Legend Virgil!

The most popular wrestler in W1 today, will have his hands full when he gets to take on WWE Legend Virgil. Jay D Luscious has been a fan of Virgil for years even tracking down the legend at a convention several years ago just for an autograph! One person who is not happy about this match is W1 champion Prince Christoph. "This is ridiculous. Virgil is a Legend now? You know what I will personally roll out the red carpet for him to step foot in MY WORLD-1 ring...and then I will gladly slap him around. If Jay D Luscious wants to get in my way he can get a slap too...just like Stevie Richards will at the end of the night!" Christoph said. In any event it will be a true dream match for Jay D Luscious, after he competed against Tito Santana, and the Blue Meanie earlier this year. How will the new North American champion perform against the experienced WWE Legend?

"Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan Vs Pelle Primeau - First time ever!

Back in June, Pelle Primeau has the North American title won, when Sam Shields tossed him to the outside and stole a victory. After the match, Pelle and Ref Bob Dong got into a heated exchange which ended in Pelle spitting on the official. Backstage Pelle apologized, and accepted his 60 day suspension which meant he missed our July event. Is there a darker side to Pelle Primeau or was this a "heat of the moment" situation? If there is anyone who can find someones dark side, it's Kevin Sullivan. A manipulator in every sense of the word, he has made a career over warping the minds of so many wrestlers over the years. Most recently, in ROH with W1 founder, Steve Corino. This will be Pelle's biggest challenge to date in WORLD-1.

Travis Lee becomes the first W1 Television champion!

A few weeks ago in Boonton NJ, "Super Sweet" Travis Lee defeated 3 other men in an 8 man tournament to become the first ever WORLD-1 Television champion.

In the first round Travis Lee soundly defeated Matt Lawless with his Jamoke kick. In the second round, Travis Lee had his hands full with The Hangman in a first time ever match. The finals saw Travis Lee defeat local Boonton villian, The Slug to win the championship.

"The Franchise" Shane Douglas takes on "Super Sweet" Travis Lee for the W1 TV title!

It's official, one day after winning the TV title, Travis Lee requested and was granted a rematch with ECW Legend, Shane Douglas. "Last month it was an honor to be in the ring with Shane Douglas, someone I grew up admiring my entire life. The guy held every championship in ECW and was even WWF Intercontinental champion. Being such a huge fan, I should have know he would stoop to any means to get the win in our match. Lesson learned, and on September 17th I am bringing the fight to the Franchise, and walking out of Morganville NJ still the W1 TV Champion!" Travis Lee said in a statement to W1 officials.

W1 Tag Team title match announced for September 17th!

Last month the underdog team of Erik Bromley and Kid America won the WORLD-1 Tag Team titles from the team of S.I.N in front of the W1 crowd at the Bullpen in Morganville. It was an exciting moment for the fans in attendance that was ruined moments later by "Old School" Eric Martin. Eric Martin charged the ring and attacked both Kid America and Erik Bromley and held the W1 Tag Team titles over his head proclaiming "THAT was classic." We now know exactly what he was talking about, because on September 17th, Team Classic, consisting of "Old School" Eric Martin and Tyler "The Hammer" Stone will get a shot at the WORLD-1 Tag Team titles.

6 Man  Ladder match announced for September 17th!

The opening match for our September 17th event has been announced and it will be a four man Ladder match with the winner becoming the #1 contender to the North American title! Last month Chuck Payne and Jaysin Genesis brawled out of the BullPen in Morganville NJ after losing their Tag Team titles, and ever since then both men have pleaded with W1 officials for a match. Mike Law has been impressing officials since his debut back in May, and this could be the catapult he needs to get the North American title. Sam Shields took Prince Christoph to the limit and has been the North American champion twice this season of WORLD-1, and four times in his overall career. We have heard rumors that W1 commissioner Nic Osia plans to add another fan favorite to this match as a surprise on September 17th!
