Former Ring of Honor World Champion and Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champion Davey Richards is on the hunt for a new title, and he'll come face-to-face with his target - Tier 1 Wrestling World Champion, Rude Boy Riley - in Queens, New York on Sunday December 11th when Tier 1 Wrestling returns with 'RESURGENCE'.
Tier 1 management has promised that "the beginning is near," - yet another hint at some major changes to their competitive landscape - but Rude Boy Riley isn't planning on being among them. As if putting Riley's year-long reign up against Richards entering his final year of in-ring competition wasn't enough, there's a huge twist.
In the spirit of unpredictability, a wildcard has been added to the mix. It was recently announced that former WrestlePro Champion Anthony Bowens, the increasingly in-demand Dezmond Xavier, and the captivating 'Concrete Rose' Sonny Kiss will compete in a triple threat match that will see the winner advance to the main event for an opportunity at the Tier 1 World Championship.
In one night, a night of debuts that fans have been clamoring for since the company's inception, Tier 1 Wrestling looks to deliver on every ounce of potential they've got. In addition to the Tier 1 World Championship being on the line, The Cutthroat Kings ('The American Nightmare' Logan Black and 'Wrench' Conor Claxton) will also defend their Tier 1 Tag Team Championships for the first time. Speaking of champions, a first-time-ever singles bout between the Rockstar Pro World Champion Zachary Wentz and Impact Wrestling star Caleb Konley has also been added to the card. This matinee show will be one of firsts, and the fans in attendance at La Boom will be witness to an entirely new vision for New York City's new frontier.
