DDT'S SHIGEHIRO IRIE HEADING TO CWE IN CANADA

12/26- DDT Japanese Wrestling Sensation Signed For Canadian Wrestling Debut.

 

 

Canadian Wrestling's Elite is proud to announce a huge deal for the organization and Canadian wrestling as a whole that will see the Canadian wrestling debut of Japanese based promotion DDT Star Shigehiro Irie!

 

The 254lbs Japanese heavyweight superstar is a 8 year veteran of the sport who DDT has invested a lot of time and money in molding to be a major star for the organization and his next stop on his journey is Canada and Canadian Wrestling's Elite!

 

Beginning active competition in 2008 Shigehiro Irie would then go on to join the World famous DDT promotion helped made famous by CWE alumni Kenny Omega and New Japan/CWC Star Kota Ibushi.

 

The heavyweight competitor has gone on to win gold in DDT capturing KO-D Tag Team Championships and the KO-D Open Weight Championship defeating Kenny Omega, the man going on to headline Wrestle Kingdom this year and go on to become the longest defending champion in the title's history. He has also held the Big Japan Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championships.

 

In 2015 Irie would also become a part time member of the All Japan Pro Wrestling roster by the way of a personal invitation of Japanese wrestling legend Jun Akiyama.

 

Throughout 2016 he would spend a good portion of the year in the United States competing for various independent companies and finding great success in a lot of them even capturing championships and winning prestigious tournament. He will now come to Canada and CWE looking for the same result.

 

This announcement is just a small part of a bigger picture that can't be revealed at this time but will most likely see more DDT stars appear in CWE in the future and CWE stars getting an opportunity in Japan for DDT.

January 19th- Gladstone, Manitoba

January 20th- Winnipeg, Manitoba

January 21st- Thunder Bay, Ontario

The addition of Shigehiro Irie to The New Heights Tour will see each tour card completely shuffled to ensure CWE fans the best possible match ups and CWE's top stars the compete against the Japanese standout as the company looks to further relations with DDT.
