I went to a PHENOMENAL XWA show from the XWA Event Center in West Warwick, RI. Here are the results:
1. "The Pretty Boy Assassin" Anthony Henry pinned JT Dunn in 14:35 with a roll up into a bridge
2. Tessa Blanchard pinned Maria Manic in 12:08. Blanchard is 100% the real deal.
3. EYFBO (Angel Ortiz and Mike Draztik) won a Triple Threat Match over The Minutemen and Adrenaline Rush (Keith Youngblood and Daniel Evans) in 12:08
4. WXW Shotgun Champion David Starr pinned Keith Lee to retain his title in 18:10 with a Canadian Destroyer. To describe this match as GREAT does it absolutely no justice. If this ever shows up on YouTube or becomes available on DVD I highly recommend it. Unbelievable!
5. Ricochet pinned Travis Gordon in 16:38
6. Miracle Mike Bennett (with Maria Kanellis-Bennett) pinned TK O'Ryan (with INKsanity Vinny Marseglia) in 22:37 to win the XWA Heavyweight title. Ricky the Dragon Steamboat was the guest referee. A great old school style title match.
7. Rude Boy Riley won the annual Xtreme Rumble in 1:06:57. Once the Rumble came down to the final four, the match turned into a fatal four-way. Riley pinned Travis Gordon to win it. Riley may be one of the most talented prospects out there today. Way too much action here to describe but some of the other names included 2Buff, Gangrel, Vinny Marseglia (who started at #1 and almost made it to the final four), Christian Cassanova, Joey Bones, The Middlesex Express, Scott Ledeur, Dexter Lou, David Craig the Alpha Male, Sully and others.
Crowd was SRO around 400-450. I cannot say enough about how much fun this show was.
