Josh [London 22.03.17] BAMMA today announce three further bouts for the BAMMA 29: McDermott Vs. Wolf prelims. Ronnie ‘Iron’ Mann Vs. Daniel Crawford, Rick Selvarajah Vs. Jai Herbert & BAMMA’s latest signing Josh ‘Power’ Plant Vs Daniel ‘Pork Chop’ Cassel all face off against each other on May 12th at the Getting Arena, Birmingham.  Tickets are on sale now from http://bit.ly/BAMMA29

Ronnie ‘Iron’ Mann is set for an immediate comeback after coming up short against Damien ‘Frankenstein’ Lapilus in his title bout at BAMMA 28. Standing across from him will be the exceptionally highly regarded Daniel Crawford, in what is set to be a spectacular Featherweight bout. Crawford knows that Ronnie Mann would be the biggest scalp of his career so far, whilst a win for Mann puts him right back on track towards another potential title shot.

It’s a battle of the former Lonsdale challengers as Lightweights Rick Selvarajah & Jai Herbert collide in a bout that is sure to be nothing short of total excitement. Selvarajah has recently put pen to paper on a contract extension with the promotion as a marker of his intentions to head to the top of the Lightweight division. However, Herbert will provide a serious threat to those hopes with his no nonsense striking style backing up his own ambitions.
"BAMMA is putting on another huge card in Midlands!! So i will be looking to make a huge statement in front of my home crowd. Coming off a disappointing loss and a few set backs, I'm looking to remind everyone that one bad night doesnt mean im not the best fighter in the division and May 12th I'll make sure I earn my shot at the title... Lonsdale or World." - Jai Herbert

"I am excited to be working with BAMMA once again - the biggest stage in European MMA. I have been training and working on my skills non stop and can't wait to put on a show at BAMMA 29. For anyone that may have forgotten, May 12th will be a reminder." - Rick Selvarajah

Additionally, two of the UK’s top up and coming Welterweight prospects will clash on May 12th. Having recently signed a multi fight deal with BAMMA, the highly touted Welterweight Josh 'Power' Plant will take on Dan ‘Porkchop’ Cassell as both fighters look to put themselves on the ladder towards the top of the division and eventual title glory.

“I’m still buzzing about signing a multi-fight deal with BAMMA, who are the top promotion in Europe. Dan Cassell is a great first opponent for me. He’s skilled and always game for a fight, but I’m always confident in my abilities. This is my chance to show everyone why I’m the one to watch in the welterweight division. Make sure to buy your ticket for May 12th. I’ll be putting on a show for you all.” - Josh ‘Power’ Plant

"I am delighted to be welcomed back to BAMMA this time as a professional. I will be looking to put on a solid performance and disposing of my opponent in fashion with the ambition of signing a permanent deal with the promotion and climbing up the welterweight ladder!" - Daniel 'Porkchop' Cassell

Additional Information

Ronnie ‘Iron’ Mann (25-9-1) The Iron Mann MMA owner and fighter based out of Evesham, Worcestershire, exploded onto the BAMMA Featherweight division with a highlight reel KO of Graham ‘Afterburner’ Turner at BAMMA 25: Champion Vs. Champion and has been chasing the BAMMA World Featherweight Title since.  Despite losing a decision to Damien ‘Frankenstein’ Lapilus at BAMMA 28 in Belfast, Mann is straight back into the arena and looks to get another shot as soon as possible.

Daniel Crawford (8-1) This fast rising Featherweight prospect from South London will make his BAMMA debut at BAMMA 29 against the tough as nails Ronnie Mann. The New Wave Academy fighter has a very unorthodox style that is difficult for opponents to deal with. Currently riding a two fight win streak last defeating Alikhan Suleimanov via strikes. With only two of his fights going the distance, Crawford will now bring his particaular brand of fighting to BAMMA.

Rick Selvarajah (8-2) extends his contract with the promotion as he signed the bout agreement to take on Herbert at BAMMA 29. Selvarajah’s last outing was a victory over Ollie Boyne at BAMMA 25 via 1st round submission, with his current goal to get another shot at the Lonsdale Lightweight title. The Premier MMA fighter out of Harrow, Middlesex, will once more make his way down the BAMMA ramp on May 12th to continue his pursuit of the title.

Jai Herbert (4-1) The Wolfpack MMA standout from Wolverhampton, will be bringing the hometown advantage as he takes on Selvarajah at BAMMA 29.  With his fast and powerful striking base, Herbert will be out to prove that his shock KO against Rhys ‘Skeletor’ McKee at BAMMA 27 in Dublin was just a bad day at the office and not something that will be happening again. With his team mate Dan Cassell now joining Herbert as a BAMMA signed fighter, Herbert is out for a measure of redemption and Selvarajah is first on his list.

Josh ‘Power’ Plant (1-0) instantly put himself on the Welterweight division’s radar with an explosive pro debut KO of Lawrence Tracey in spectacular fashion in just 20 seconds. Now the top prospect has signed a multi fight deal that will see his career blossom under the BAMMA bright lights and big show.  The Impact MMA fighter has set himself lofty goals, but is single minded in his belief that he will achieve them. Another of the new breed of fighters that are on the rise in the UK, Plant will soon be demonstrating why people should sit up and take notice on May 12th.

Daniel ‘Porkchop’ Cassell (2-2) Current training partner of Jai Herbert, Cassell returns to BAMMA after making his first appearance as an amateur at BAMMA 21: DeVent Vs. Kone. Now returning as a pro, Cassell will be wanting to make it 2-0 at the Genting Arena, May 12th. The all-rounder boasts a strong base with good standup that he will be wanting to demonstrate to the huge crowd in attendance on the night.
