[London 19.0617] Bamma is delighted to announce it’s return to the SSE Arena for BAMMA 31 on September 15th, 2017. The first bouts announced include Title fights and a bout that sees the UK’s biggest MMA rivalry come to a head.

Tickets go on pre sale Wednesday 21st June with General Sale on Friday 23rd June from http://www.ssearena.co.uk/events

For the first time since BAMMA 10: Sinclair Vs. Winner, the promotion returns to the SSE Arena, where many legendary BAMMA Battles such as Rob Sinclair Vs. Andre Winner, Frank Trigg Vs. John Phillips & Tom Watson Vs. Maurilo Rua were held. History is set to be made once more as BAMMA brings the big show to London.

In the Co-Main event ‘Mr Bag & Tag’ Nathan Jones takes on Alex ‘Da Kid’ Lohore for the BAMMA World Welterweight Title, in a fight set to bring the house down. Jones and Lohore have been on a collision course for a few years now and finally they get to bring the intense rivalry to a head for the title. Ever since Lohore felt disrespected by Jones in a post fight speech, he has pursued this fight and even stepped into Jones gym while teaching to throw down the gauntlet. Now London finally gets to see the epic conclusion of a rivalry that has been building for years.

After the shocking dismantling of Ronnie ‘Iron’ Mann and becoming the first fighter to KO him, Daniel Crawford stood centre of the cage and called for his title shot against current title holder Damien ‘Frankenstien’ Lapilus. Never one to back down from a challenge, Lapilus eagerly accepted and Crawford now not only intends to win the title in his hometown, but he also wants secure another first - to be the first Englishman to hold the Featherweight title and wrestle away France’s grip on the belt. Prepare for a titanic tussle as these young talented fighters prepare to put it all on the line for the crowd in attendance at the SSE Arena at BAMMA 31.

Additional Info

‘Mr Bag & Tag’ Nathan Jones (11-5) After winning 7 out of his last 8 fights Nathan Jones has been carving a path to the title he’s been craving ever since he signed on the dotted line with BAMMA. Standing in the way of the Team Titan / In The Bag fighter is longtime rival Alex ‘Da Kid’ Lohore. After taking Walter Gahadza’s undefeated streak at BAMMA 27 and brushing away Umer Kayani at Bellator the only thing left is Lohore, and it’s the battle that Jones has been preparing for. Losing is not an option for Jones and he’s out to prove it at BAMMA London.

Alex ‘Da Kid’ Lohore (12-1) ) is currently riding an 8 fight win streak that most recently saw him defeat Dan Edwards & Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher. With an exhilarating style that is as good on the ground as it is standing, Lohore will once more be looking for the spectacular in his battle with longtime rival Nathan Jones for the BAMMA title. Hailing from France, the London based New Wave Academy fighter is coming to make a statement at BAMMA London. This MMA rivalry that has had the London MMA community gripped will finally reach it’s climax at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Set 15th.

Damien ‘Frankenstien’ Lapilus (15-7-1) followed in the footsteps of countryman Tom ‘Firekid’ DuQuesnoy when he secured the BAMMA World Featherweight Title against Ronnie ‘Iron’ Mann in a hard fought battle at BAMMA 28: Parkes Vs. Redmond at the beginning of the year. The MMA Factory fighter holds victories over Mann, Jack McGann and was arguably in control of his fight with former Lightweight champ Martin Stapleton, before the bout ended in a DQ. Training with the likes of Karl Amoussou and his brother Taylor Lapilus, training is the hardest it has ever been as he bids to retain his belt against the young upstart Crawford.

Daniel Crawford (9-1) the surging Featherweight prospect from South London finally gets a chance of winning the gold at Wembley in front of his hometown crowd, when he faces the champion Lapilus. The New Wave Academy fighter has a very unorthodox style that is difficult for opponents to deal with. Now riding a three fight win streak, Crawford is coming off the back of a career high KO victory against Mann. With only two of his fights going the distance, Crawford goes from strength to strength, but now faces his toughest opponent yet.
