DEFY Wrestling has proven to be Seattle’s hottest independent wrestling company and they are now expanding to the South Sound. This Thursday, June 29th will see the debut of DEFY WRESTLING at the Temple Theater’s Grand Plaza Ballroom located at the Landmark Convention Center, 47 St Helens Ave, Tacoma, WA 98402.
The event at Temple Theater will be part of DEFY WRESTLING’s weekend event titled GIGANTIC. Kicking off their GIGANTIC weekend will be a pre-show DefyCON that will take place at the Temple Theater at 6:00 PM on June 29th. This event will be all ages, with the Temple Theater’s balcony reserved for those 21 and older with ID.
Recently crowned RING of HONOR World Champion and Former 2 time WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes will be headlining DEFY’s Tacoma debut. Cody will square off with one of Mexico’s hottest wrestlers, PENTA el 0M formerly known as Pentagon Jr from El Rey Network’s Lucha Underground. Also appearing will be international stars like the team of ReDragon, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish, who recently debuted with WWE’s NXT. They will be taking on the team of Davey Boy Smith Jr and Rey Fenix.
The first DEFY Tacoma’s Women Cup will take place as international stars Angelina Love, Su Yung, Christina Von Eerie and Nicole Matthews will battle each other for this championship!
The next night at Seattle’s Washington Hall will see another night of action as the finals of the DEFY 8XGP Championship is crowned. With semi-final matches taking place the night before we’ll see who has what it takes to become DEFY’s inaugural champion. The men competing are Davey Richards, Matt Cross, Darby Allin and Tacoma’s own Shane Strickland.
One of independent wrestling’s dream matches is set to take place also when ReDragon will face off with the Lucha Bros, Penta el 0M and his brother Rey Fenix. Others you’ll see in action is Joey Ryan, star of Netflix smash hit G.L.O.W. television show and much more!
