GLASGOW WRESTLING REFEREE TURNS WRESTLER FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY

KEARINS LOOKS TO PACK A PUNCH AT POPULAR SCOTTISH VENUE

Insane Championship Wrestling has announced that its Head Official, Referee Thomas Kearins will be stepping into the ring as a wrestler for one night only later this month.

The 22 year old from Glasgow is scheduled to take on former Tag Team Champion and Square Go Winner, Dickie Divers in singles action. The match will take place Saturday, July 29 at O2 ABC in Glasgow for night one of ICW’s ‘Shug’s Hoose Party’ weekend event.

The feud started after Kearins hit Divers with a DDT during a match earlier this year in an act of revenge after being inadvertently struck by the wrestler. The clip went viral, being viewed over 1 million times after UniLad shared it on Facebook. Divers took exception to this, attacking Kearins at a future ICW Fight Club event, forcing ICW’s owner, Mark Dallas to sign a match between the two to settle the score.

Kearins said: “Throughout my time in ICW I’ve been punched, kicked, slammed and thrown around rings across the UK. There comes a time when you have to stand up for yourself and I’ll be doing what I need to win July 29 against Divers. I can’t promise a five star classic but the fans will be thoroughly entertained by what I have planned at Shug’s Hoose Party, especially the entrance!”

The event is part of a weekend of shows for ICW, taking place Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 July at the famous Glasgow venue.  Weekend tickets start from £37.00 or £20.00 per night from www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
