BORDER CITY WRESTLING AND ST. CLAIR COLLEGE TEAM UP FOR BIGGEST SHOW EVER! Rey Mysterio and Ricky Steamboat to headline BCW Excellence 2017! For Immediate Release July 26, 2017 Windsor, ON - Border City Wrestling and St. Clair College have teamed up to celebrate St. Clair's 50th Anniversary by bringing you their biggest event ever, BCW Excellence 2017! This historic event will emanate from Windsor's newest sports facility, the state-of-the-art St. Clair College SportsPlex on Saturday, October 14th. Belltime is 7:30pm. Fans from Windsor and around the world are already buzzing as wrestling's hottest free agent and three-time WWE World champion Rey Mysterio steps into a BCW ring for the very first time! That's right, don't miss the master of the "619" swinging into the "519"! "We are excited to have BCW as part of our momentous 50th Anniversary", says St. Clair Vice President John Fairley. "We are especially ecstatic to have a world-renowned Superstar the caliber of Rey Mysterio as part of our celebration. Rey has headlined WrestleMania, and now he will headline Excellence right here in Windsor!" Speaking of WrestleMania, Excellence is also being headlined by a man whose legend was cemented only miles away from Windsor at the Pontiac Silverdome during WrestleMania III, WWE Hall of Famer, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat! The former World and Intercontinental Champion is the ultimate fan favourite and he says he will be ringside at Excellence to make sure the rules are respected. Steamboat promises anybody who crosses the line will feel the fire of The Dragon! "We are honoured to have bona fide legends like Mysterio and Steamboat as a part of Excellence" says Jeff Kavanaugh, the voice of BCW and St. Clair alumnus. "We haven't felt this kind of excitement since The Rock wrestled his only non-WWE match with us here 20 years ago!” Also featured on the card is current BCW Champion, the 400 pound “Monsta” Kongo Kong, BCW Tag-Team champions Phil Atlas & Brent Banks, independent stalwart Cody Deaner, Windsor's favourite son Aiden Prince, with many more huge announcements still to come!
