WCW/ECW/WWE Lucha Libre Legend Headlines CWE's 10th Anny Tour.
Canadian Wrestling's Elite has hosted literally the who's who of professional wrestling as headline attractions over 10 years of dominance across Canada from legends & icons, WWE/F Alumni, WCW Alumni, ECW Alumni, Ring Of Honor Stars, IMPACT! Wrestling Stars, international stars and everything in between.
Although always a great addition the brand Canadian Wrestling's Elite was built on the homegrown in ring performers that have wowed audiences across the country with what Canadians have always been well aware of and that's Canadian wrestling IS pro wrestling.
As Canadian Wrestling's Elite embarks on celebrating 10 years of operations with 38 events across Canada Mar 26-May 2nd it is beyond ecstatic to have inked a deal that will see the best of both worlds come together.
38 Canadian cities will be treated to a true legend and innovator of the business and one that is still actively competing at a high level in lucha libre icon Psicosis!
In a groundbreaking deal, for the first time ever a lucha libre legend will headline a CWE tour with the CWE debut of 2x WCW Cruiserweight Champion Psicosis!
A true pioneer of the innovative and progressive style of professional wrestling you see today, Psicosis and a fellow by the name of Rey Mysterio turned the wrestling business upside down with what was considered one of the greatest matches of all time when the two debuted in the ECW Arena for Extreme Championship Wrestling.
This first of its kind match in North America sparked a revolution in the 90s that would see lucha libre become a featured attraction in ECW which would then be stolen right from under them in the heated Monday Night Wars by WCW.
The Cruiserweights took flight in WCW and Psicosis was at the forefront in the division many consider one of the major factors in what led WCW to overtake the WWF in the Monday Night Wars for 83 straight weeks.
After the wars were over it wasn't long until Psicosis was called to build a cruiserweight division as he head to the then WWE a part of the short term but highly popular and memorable Mexicools as well as some time in TNA competing in X-Division styles matches.
And that's just in North America! Psicosis is a living legend in Mexico and one of the biggest attractions of this generation for both AAA and CMLL.
Now for the first time ever Psicosis headlines his first ever Canadian tour!
The dream matches are countless when you consider a roster stacked with the likes of Canadian wrestling icon Mentallo, 2018 Elite 8 Winner Roy "Flash" Gordon, CWE Canadian Unified Jr Heavyweight Champion "Tornado" Tony Kozina, "Fabulous Creebird" Kevy Chevy, "The Canadian Crusher" AJ Sanchez, "The Original" Marky, "Mr. Beefy Goodness" Vance Nevada, CWE Champion "Hotshot" Danny Duggan, and so many more!
