In the new main event announced today, Eduardo “El Pube” Alvarado Osuna (8-5) will square off with fellow rising star Andre Barquero (6-2) at a catchweight of 140 pounds.

The 24-year-old Barquero of San Pedro, Costa Rica will replace John “Sexi Mexi” Castaneda (17-4) of Mankato, Minn. after Castaneda withdrew from the commitment, citing an elbow infection as the cause.

Barquero will look to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Sean Santella on June 14.  Prior to the result, Barquero had reeled off six straight wins, five of them via (T)KO or submission.

Osuna, a 27-year-old speedster and stellar striker who hails from Tijuana, B.C., Mexico, will look to collect his third consecutive victory in what has been a stellar year for his career, thus far.

Osuna is coming off a well-fought, split decision victory over Jose Luis Calvo on June 7.

In one of two new welterweight (170 pound) contests announced today for the event’s preliminary bout card, submission expert Jose “Know Way” Caceres (14-9) of Miami, Fla. will square off with wrestling stylist Major Jason “Righteous” Norwood (18-6) of Killeen, Texas via Lawton, Okla.

The second welterweight preliminary card fight announced today will see Fernando Gonzalez Treviño (3-2) of San Jose, Calif. via Monterrey, N.L., Mexico collide with Cesar “Goku” Arzamendia (8-4) of El Paso, Texas.

A previously announced, featured women’s strawweight (115 pounds) matchup will showcase the much-anticipated MMA debut of former Lucha Underground television series competitor and professional wrestling star Melissa “Thunder Rosa” Cervantes (0-0) of San Antonio against Nadine “Too Much” Mandiau (0-1) of San Diego, Calif.

In another previously announced featured bout, Lackland AFB Staff Sergeant and MMA prospect Chris “Dirty Texas” Cortez (2-1) of San Antonio will battle two-time kickboxing champion Oscar “Jacare” Souza (4-3) of Tenerife, Spain in a 130-pound catchweight meeting.
