REPORT: GREGOR GILLESPIE FACES BRAD RIDDELL ON MARCH 20 UFC CARD

By David Tees on 2/20/2021 6:26 AM

A lightweight division attraction has been added to the March 20 UFC card according to Christopher Reive as #15 Gregor Gillespie faces Brad Riddell.

Gillespie (13-1-0) is competing for the first time since suffering his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Kevin Lee at UFC 244. Gillespie is competing for the first time in over a year, as UFC 244 took place in November of 2019. Gillespie has competed 14 times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those encounters went the distance.

Riddell (9-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, picking up wins over Jamie Mullarkey, Magomed Mustafaev and Alex Da Silva. Riddell has seen his last four fights go the distance and it has been nearly two years since the fighter got a finish. Riddell is also a former Wollongong Wars Lightweight Champion, but he relinquished the belt when he signed with the UFC.

UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland takes place on Saturday, March 20 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Derek Brunson and Kevin Holland headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
