REPORT: RAMAZAN KURAMAGOMEDOV REPLACES RANDY BROWN, FACES ALEX OLIVEIRA AT UFC FIGHT NIGHT 186

By David Tees on 2/23/2021 3:55 PM

Alex Oliveira has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 186 after the withdrawal of Randy Brown and now he has one as MMA Junkie reports that Ramazan Kuramagomedov has accepted the short notice opportunity.

Oliveira (22-9-1-2NC) has won two of his last six in the UFC, with those wins coming over Max Griffin and Peter Sobotta. With the exception of 2019 and 2011, Oliveira has fought at least three times a year since his professional MMA career began a decade ago. Oliveira has picked up 12 of 22 pro MMA wins by KO/TKO, with another five coming by submission.

Kuramagomedov (8-0-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over six years. Kuramagomedov competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 5, defeating Jordan Williams by split decision. Kuramagomedov has competed eight times as a pro MMA fighter and three of those bouts went the distance.

UFC Fight Night 186 takes place on Saturday, February 27 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Kairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
