A welterweight division attraction has been added to One Championship On TNT IV according to ESPN as Shinya Aoki faces Sage Northcutt.
Aoki (46-9-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Honorio Banario, Kimihiro Eto and James Nakashima. Aoki is a multi-time One Lightweight Champion, ending those title reigns with losses to Eduard Folayang and Christian Lee. Aoki has suffered nine losses as a pro MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Northcutt (11-3-0) is winless thus far under the One Championship banner, dropping a bout to Cosmo Alexandre at One Championship: Enter The Dragon. Northcutt hasn’t picked up a win in over two years, with that last victory coming over Zak Ottow at UFC Fight Night 133. Northcutt also hasn’t competed in almost two years, with his last fight happening in May of 2019.
One Championship On TNT IV takes place on Wednesday, April 28 from a location to be announced in Singapore with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on TNT.
