A heavyweight division attraction has been added to the May 8 UFC card according to MMA Junkie as Maurice Greene faces Marcos Rogerio De Lima.
Greene (9-5-0) has won just one of his last four in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Gian Villante at UFC On ESPN 12. Greene has won four of seven in the UFC and just one of his bouts in the UFC went the distance. Greene has competed 14 times as a professional MMA fighter and four of those bouts went to a decision.
De Lima (17-7-1) has rotated wins and losses in his last 10 fights, with the latest being a first round submission loss to Alexander Romanov at UFC On ESPN 17. De Lima hasn’t earned a victory in over a year, with that last win coming over Ben Sosoli at UFC Fight Night 168. De Lima has picked up 12 of 17 wins by KO/TKO, with another three coming by submission.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, May 8 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
