A lightweight division attraction has been added to the April 17 UFC card according to MMA Junkie as Jeremy Stephens faces Drakkar Klose.
Stephens (28-18-0-1NC) is returning to lightweight after a stint at featherweight, while also holding an overall record of 16-16-0-1NC in the UFC. Stephens enters this contest on a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t win a fight in over three years. Stephens has suffered 18 losses as a pro MMA fighter and 12 of them came by way of decision.
Klose (11-2-1) has won three of his last five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Lando Vannata, Bobby Green and Christos Giagos. Klose has suffered two losses as a pro MMA fighter and both of them came in UFC competition. Klose has competed 14 times as a pro MMA fighter and nine of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night: Costa vs. Whittaker takes place on Saturday, April 17 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Paulo Costa and Robert Whittaker headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
