A middleweight division attraction has been added to the June 26 UFC card according to MMA Junkie as Anthony Hernandez faces Puna Soriano.
Hernandez (8-2-0-1NC) has won two of four under the UFC banner, with those coming over the duo of Jun Yong Park and Rodolfo Vieira. Hernandez competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 2, Episode 2, fighting Jordan Wright to a no contest. Hernandez is a former LFA Middleweight Champion, defeating Brendan Allen at LFA 32 to claim the gold.
Soriano (8-0-0) has already earned two wins in the UFC, with those coming over the two pack of Oskar Piechota and Dusko Todorovic. Soriano competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 1, defeating Jamie Pickett by unanimous decision. Soriano has competed eight times as a pro MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 26 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
