A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to the June 19 UFC card according to MMA Fighting as Casey O’Neil faces Lara Procopio.
O’Neil (6-0-0) has already earned one victory in the UFC, which came over Shana Dobson at UFC Fight Night 185. O’Neil is a former Eternal MMA Women’s Flyweight Champion, but she relinquished the gold upon signing with the UFC. O’Neil has competed six times as a professional MMA fighter and half of those encounters went the distance.
Procopio (7-1-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Molly McCann at UFC Fight Night 184. Procopio has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Karol Rosa at UFC Fight Night 157. Procopio has seen her last four fights go the distance and it has been over three years since the fighter got a finish.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 19 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
