A lightweight division attraction has been added to the June 5 UFC card according to Combate as Alan Patrick faces Mason Jones.
Patrick (15-3-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Scott Holtzman and Bobby Green. Patrick hasn’t picked up a win in over three years, with that last victory coming over Damir Hadzovic at UFC Fight Night 125. Patrick has competed 18 times as a professional MMA fighter and 10 of those bouts went the distance.
Jones (10-1-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Mike Davis at UFC On ESPN 20. Jones is a longtime veteran of the Cage Warriors promotion, picking up a total of nine wins there as a pro MMA fighter and one as an amateur. Jones has earned four of 10 pro MMA wins by KO/TKO, with another three coming by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 5 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
