In mixed martial arts, being dubbed great is equivalent to having your talents certified. However, to be listed among the best of the best is to enter the elite company of warriors, who critics and admirers will all permanently look up to. Throughout the history of the sport, there have been many outstanding MMA competitors. But just a few of them have done enough to be ranked among the greatest.

Compared to other sports, mixed martial arts has only been around a short while, yet it has already produced some incredible fighters. Here are some of the greatest in human history.

Fedor Emelianenko

Fedor Emelianenko, unlike the bulk of other MMA fighters, never competed in the UFC. However, that does not change the fact that he is a complete fighter and has one of the longest unbeaten runs at 28 victories straight. Many people refer to him as the greatest heavyweight fighter ever.

He has achieved several very noteworthy victories in the sport over many top competitors. His career ended with a record of 47 total fights, 40 victories, 6 defeats, and 1 no-contest. He has a strong record to support the argument that he is the greatest fighter of all time.

Emelianenko is one of the reasons why the Mixed Martial Arts sport has achieved global acclaim, with it being enjoyed by millions of people. A factor that has also helped make this possible is the ability to gamble on the sport, with a variety of trusted platforms for placing wagers on the fights and fighters now available to utilize. A plethora of those betting sites have been listed at sinlicencia.org, which all provide a smoother experience and give bettors a seamless session.

Jon Jones

Jon Jones is a name that almost all fans of UFC will know of and will have huge respect for what he had managed to achieve in the Octagon. He was a two-time UFC light heavyweight champion during his career, and still maintains a number of different records despite retiring in 2021. He fought in 28 bouts including one that ended in a no contest, recording 26 wins and 1 defeat; one which was controversial when he disqualifed against Matt Hamill.

Georges St-Pierre

Of all MMA fighters in history, Georges St-Pierre possesses the most complete all-around skills. Many people believe he is the greatest fighter in MMA history, having won UFC belts in the welterweight and middleweight weight classes.

St-Pierre won numerous big fights in the UFC during his peak. Along with holding the record for the most victories in title fights and the second-longest cumulative title streak in UFC history, he was also ranked as the best welterweight in the world for several years before retiring in 2013. With 28 fights, which included 26 victories and 2 losses, he finished his incredible career.

Khabib Nurmagomedov

With his outstanding grappling, Khabib Nurmagomedov, the longest-reigning lightweight division champion in UFC history, won several battles and established himself as one of the sport's greatest competitors. He not only dominates his opponents to win every battle, but he also does so consistently.

Khabib's stellar career is evidenced by his flawless record of 29 victories in 29 fights overall at the time of his retirement. He has defeated some of the sport's most powerful competitors, including Conor McGregor.
