A featherweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 295 according to MMA Fighting as Mads Burnell faces Justin Gonzalez.

Burnell (16-5-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Adam Borics and Pedro Carvalho. Burnell hasn’t won a fight in over a year, with his last victory coming over Emmanuel Sanchez at Bellator 263 in July of 2021. Burnell also won just one of three during his UFC tenure, with that lone win coming over Mike Santiago at UFC Fight Night 124.

Gonzalez (14-1-0) has won three of four under the Bellator banner, with those wins coming over Tywan Claxton, Kai Kamaka III and Andrew Fisher. Gonzalez has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter, with that loss coming to Aaron Pico at Bellator 271. Gonzalez has earned 14 wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of those have come by decision.

Bellator 295 takes place on Saturday, April 22 from the Neil S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii with Raufeon Stots and Patchy Mix headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Showtime.
