A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Fight Night card on April 29 according to AG Fight as Emily Ducote faces Polyana Viana.
Ducote (12-7-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Jessica Penne at UFC On ABC 3. Ducote is a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion, but she relinquished the gold upon signing with the UFC in 2022. Ducote has previously challenged for the Bellator Women’s Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane at Bellator 186.
Viana (13-5-0) has won three of her last four in the UFC, with those victories coming over Emily Whitmire, Mallory Martin and Jinh Yu Frey. Viana has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and four of those came during UFC competition. Viana has competed 18 times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 29 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
