The ECWA announced the following:

ECWA presents the 26th annual Super 8 Tournament. The ECWA Super 8 Tournament was first held in 1997 and was won by Ace Darling and last year's event was won by Darius Carter.

Over the years the names that have competed in the ECWA Super 8 have become legends. People like: Matt and Jeff Hardy, Christopher Daniels, Bryan Danielson, Low-Ki, Simon Diamond, Crowbar, Cash Wheeler, Brian Pillman Jr, Billy Kidman, Reckless Youth, AJ Styles, Jamie Noble, Austin Aries, Charlie Haas, Paul London, Davey Richards, Tomasso Ciampa, Xavier Woods and Adam Cole.

If you've never seen an ECWA Super 8 event in person, it is a bucket list event for any fan of independent professional wrestling. Here is a quick overview video if you aren't familiar with the most legendary tournament in pro wrestling:

This year, for the first time since selling the company in 2010, legendary promoter and ECWA Founder, Jim Kettner will be attending an ECWA event!

We will also announce the next entrants into the ECWA Hall of Fame!

The eight men competing in this year's tournament are:

In non-tournament action the team of the Backyarders, featuring ECWA champion Travis Lee, Territory champion Abs Armstrong and their mystery partner will take on the ECWA Icons, Mr Ooh Lala, Legacy Champion L.A Vin and returning after 18 years away...the Japanese Pool Boy!

Another non-tournament match will see the Marvelous Ones attempt to break the record for the longest reigning ECWA Tag Team champions when they take on their butler's butler, Bobby Boran and his hand picked partner. The Marvelous Ones' butler Sweet Reginald has been telling the world he is forcing Bobby to pick him as his partner but Bobby has told ECWA officials he has someone else in mind.
