Brooklyn, NY

Following his defeat of Darius Carter at Catalyst Wrestling Anniversary VI, new Catalyst Wrestling Champion O’Shay Edwards has been forced by Catalyst Matchmaker Allison Danger to relinquish the Catalyst Wrestling Television Title.

Edwards, who is set to defend the Catalyst Title against Shane Taylor of Ring Of Honor, has abdicated the title and a tournament has been announced to crown a new champion that will culminate on July 8th, but will start this Sunday, May 21st in Brooklyn,

The tournament, the first of it’s kind will see three opening round matches, one fatal four way, one three way dance, and one singles match.

In the singles match, former Television Champion Anthony Gangone will start his path for a second reign standing across from NCAA and NYU standout Ray Jaz.

Jaz, who has yet to challenge for a Catalyst single’s title has joined Zac Amico’s Hudson County Horror Show at the start of 2023, whom Gangone has been at war with since 2018.

In a three way dance, MLW’s Akira will look for one more shot at becoming TV champion facing off against two former champions in Catalyst.

The first being a member of “Self-Made” The Infinite T.I.M, a former Tag Team champion alongside Rob Killjoy.

The second being former Freestyle Champion “Savage Gentleman” Victor Benjamin, made doubly dangerous as he stands alongside former King Of The Dot Champion and Battle Rap Legend,  Real Deal.

In our final first round match, Jack Evans and KC Navarro will stand across from one another for the first time ever as they face off in a fatal fourway that will include Navarro’s former manager, Bobby Orlando and an opponent to be decided via random drawing via hat.

Navarro, the first ever to be a Catalyst Wrestling “Triple Crown” winner holding the Freestyle, Tag Team, and Television Title all within his first two years in Catalyst, will now look for a second reign as he eye becoming Catalyst’s first Grand Slam Champion.

Evans, who has bounced back from a loss in January to T.I.M in the first ever Top Rope match with a win in a six man scramble at Anniversary VI, looks to add the TV Title to his historic resume.
