DANA WHITE CALLS JALIN TURNER/BOBBY GREEN STOPPAGE ONE OF THE WORST HE’S EVER SEEN

Controversy did rear its ugly head during UFC Fight Night Austin, specifically in the co-main event of what was easily the best Fight Night card of the year.

Referee Kerry Hatley allowed Bobby Green to take way to many unprotected shots to the head during the finishing sequence of the fight with Jalin Turner and UFC CEO Dana White called Hatley’s stoppage one of the worst that he has ever seen.

“(It was) one of the worst I’ve ever seen,” White told reporters at the UFC Austin post-fight press conference (transcript via Mike Bohn & Matthew Wells of MMA Junkie). “The difference is we’ve had some refs say some dumb sh*t in the past, like, ‘I allowed her to be a warrior tonight,’ and goofy sh*t like that. He knows he made a mistake tonight and does not feel not feel good about it, so it’s unfortunate.”

Green managed to leave the Octagon under his own power on Saturday Night, even posting a video to social media afterwards.
