A featherweight division attraction has been added to the February 3 UFC Fight Night card according to LApogree MMA (via Marcel Dorff) as Melsik Baghdasaryan faces William Gomis.
Baghdasaryan (8-2-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Collin Anglin, Bruno Souza and Tucker Lutz. Baghdasaryan competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Dennis Buzukja by unanimous decision during the 2020 season. Baghdasaryan has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by KO/TKO.
Gomis (13-2-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, having defeated Jarno Errens, Francis Marshall and Yanis Ghemmouri. Gomis hasn’t been defeated in over seven years, with his last loss coming to Morgan Charriere at 100% Fight Contenders 33 in November of 2016. Gomis has competed 15 times as a professional MMA fighter and six of those bouts have gone the distance.
UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs. Imavov takes place on Saturday, February 3 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Roman Dolidze and Nassaurdine Imavov headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
