A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC 299, announced earlier today by the UFC, as #6 Mateusz Gamrot faces #11 Rafael Dos Anjos.
Gamrot (23-2-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Jalin Turner and Rafael Fiziev. Gamrot hasn’t been defeated in over a year, with his last loss coming to Beneil Dariush at UFC 280 in October of 2022. Gamrot has earned 23 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 10 of them came by way of decision.
Dos Anjos (32-15-0) has win three of his last six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Paul Felder, Renato Carneiro and Bryan Barberena. Dos Anjos is a former UFC Lightweight Champion, defeating Anthony Pettis to win the gold at UFC 185. Dos Anjos has suffered 15 losses as a professional MMA fighter and 11 of those have come by way of decision.
