A featherweight division clash has been added to the June 15 UFC Fight Night card according to MMA Heads as Lucas Almeida faces Timothy Cuamba.
Almeida (14-3-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Andre Fili and Pat Sabatini. Almeida hasn’t won a fight in almost two years, with his last win coming against Michael Trizano at UFC Fight Night 207 in June of 2022. Almeida competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, dropping a bout to Daniel Zellhuber during the 2021 season.
Cuamba (8-2-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Bolaji Oki at UFC Fight Night 236. Cuamba also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Mateo Alejandro Vogel during the 2023 season. Cuamba has earned eight victories as a professional MMA fighter and four of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, June 15 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
