A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Baku according to RedFuryFT as #11 Rafael Fiziev faces Ignacio Bahamondes.
Fiziev (12-4-0) enters the contest on a three fight losing streak, having dropped fights to the trio of Justin Gaethje (twice) and Matuesz Gamrot. Fiziev hasn’t won a fight in almost three years, with his last win coming over Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC On ESPN 39 in July 2022. Fiziev has earned 12 wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Bahamondes (17-5-0) enters this bout on the strength of a three fight winning streak, having defeated Christos Giagos, Manuel Torres and Jalin Turner. Bahamondes has suffered a pair of defeats under the UFC banner, being beaten by John Makdessi and Ludovit Klein. Bahamondes has seen his last three fights end in the opening round and it has been almost two years since one of his fights went past round one.
