REAL AMERICAN FREESTYLE ANNOUNCE LATEST SIGNINGS AHEAD OF OHIO DEBUT EVENT

Real American Freestyle Signs Evan Wick, Austin Gomez, Real Woods, Will Lewan, and Parker Keckeisen to Full Roster of Exceptional Wrestling Talent 

Ahead of its first event in Ohio this summer, the innovative organization continues to attract the best wrestlers in the sport 

Tampa, FL (May 16, 2025) – Real American Freestyle, the new, unscripted freestyle wrestling organization, today announced the signing of champion wrestlers Evan Wick, Austin Gomez, Real Woods, Will Lewan, and Parker Keckeisen to its roster of exceptional talent. 

Wick, Gomez, Woods, Lewan, and Keckeisen join Ben Askren, Kennedy Blades, Zahid Valencia, David Carr, Kyle Dake, Trent Hidlay, Kyle Snyder, and Aaron Brooks. Seeking to provide an opportunity for the best athletes to compete and showcase their talent, Real American Freestyle will continue to develop its 

program ahead of their first event on August 30th in Cleveland, OH and will offer a dynamic, modern approach to coverage of the sport – spearheaded by the elite storytelling of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and legendary coach Israel Martinez, one of the top coaches in the history of the sport.

Evan Wick is an American freestyle wrestler and a four-time Division I, All-American wrestler, and three-time national qualifier. A 2025 US Open National Champion, Wick is also a two-time Olympic team trials qualifier. Wick was also a two-time State Place winner for San Marino high school in California. 

Austin Gomez is a Mexican-American freestyle and former folkstyle wrestler who represented Mexico at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Gomez is a two-time NCAA Division I All-American, who placed second in 2024 for the University of Michigan and fourth in 2022 for the University of Wisconsin. This May, Gomez won gold at the Pan American Championships. 

Real Woods is an American freestyle wrestler and four-time All American. Woods is a five-time NCAA qualifier, a three-time conference champion, and the 2023 NCAA runner up at 141 pounds. In 2019, Woods won silver at the Junior Pan American Freestyle Champions, helping lead the US to a first-place finish. Woods is a product of Izzy Style Wrestling out of Chicago, IL. 

Will Lewan is an American freestyle wrestler and three-time All American. Lewan is a Cadet world champion, and earned NWCA Second Team All-America honors – before placing fifth at the 2022 NCAA Championships and eighth in 2023. Lewan earned top-three finishes in 2022 and 2024 and during his tenure at the University of Michigan, contributed to their Big Ten championship and three top-five NCAA finishes. 

 

Parker Keckeisen is an American freestyle wrestler and 2024 NCAA champion. Keckeisen is a five-time All American, a five-time Big 12 Champion, and a three-time NCAA finalist. He holds the UNI record for highest winning percentage of all time, and is third all-time in wins. Keckeisen participated in the 2019 Olympic qualifier and the 2020 Senior National Championships. Keckeisen will compete against his former rivals Aaron Brooks and Kyle Dake as part of Real American Freestyle. 

In partnership with the USA Wrestling, NIL organizations, and NCAA, athletes can compete regardless of their NCAA status, providing crucial opportunities for wrestlers at the start and in the prime of their careers. Real American Freestyle will explore a dynamic format, with nine minute matches and high-impact moves designed to captivate modern audiences. 

Events will feature eight weight classes with eight matches for men and four for women. Participants and members of the Real American Freestyle roster have access to the world’s best entertainment and sports storytellers, production, and promotion, they will also have the opportunity to win the championship purse and bonuses – in adherence to NCAA regulations – for wins throughout the season.
