This weekend’s UFC 317 card has undergone a change because Nolan King is reporting that Christopher Ewerts will replace Sedrqiues Dumas against Jackson McVey. Octagon Update is reporting that Dumas couldn’t get his ankle monitor removed in time for this weekend’s event.
Ewerts (7-0-0) is making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted just over two years. Ewerts has earned seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by way of KO/TKO. Ewerts competed once in Combate Global, defeating Jimmie Pace Jr. unanimous decision.
McVey (6-0-0) is also making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over two years. McVey has competed six times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his fights went past the first round. McVey also won six of seven as an amateur fighter, with that lone loss coming to Wesley Schultz at LFA 82.
UFC 317 takes place on Saturday, June 28 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Charles Oliveira and Ilia Topuria headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
