A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Paris according to Marcel Dorff as Rinat Fakhretdinov faces Andreas Gustafsson.
Fakhretdinov (23-1-1) has won five of six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Andreas Michailidis, Bryan Battle, Kevin Lee, Nicolas Dalby and Carlos Leal. Fakhretdinov has a single blemish during his UFC tenure and that was a majority draw against Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos at UFC Fight Night 231. Fakhretdinov has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Aigun Akhmedov in June of 2013.
Gustafsson (12-2-0) is undefeated under the UFC banner thus far, having defeated Khaos Williams at UFC 316. Gustafsson competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Pat Pytlik by second round TKO. Gustafsson has earned 12 wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Paris takes place on Saturday, September 6 from the Accor Arena in Paris, France with Nassaurdine Imavov and Caio Borralho headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
