NEW YORK, NY  –  July 11, 2025 –  Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix made history at the sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York City, as Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano headlined the first-ever all-women’s boxing card in MSG history in front of an astounding 19,721 total attendees, who gathered to witness the historic trilogy bout. 

Taylor vs. Serrano 3 has made history, achieving the following milestones: 

  • Taylor vs. Serrano 3 is the first ever trilogy fight in women’s boxing history.

  • Taylor vs. Serrano 3 is the first-ever all-women’s boxing card in MSG's history.

  • The mega-event broke a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS for the most world championship belts ever contested on a single fight card, male or female, with 17 world titles on the line across five bouts. 

  • The event is setting a new financial standard for female fighters with Taylor and Serrano receiving record-breaking purses, continuing to raise the benchmark as the highest-paid female fighters of all time.

The highly-anticipated trilogy bout between Ireland’s beloved undisputed champion Katie Taylor (25-1, 6 KOs) and MVP’s Puerto Rican powerhouse Amanda Serrano (47-4-1, 31 KOs) delivered an electrifying technical display for a sold-out Madison Square Garden. From the opening bell, Taylor showcased her trademark footwork, lightning-fast combinations, and unwavering determination, while Serrano responded with relentless pressure and fierce power shots. After ten thrilling rounds, the judges awarded Taylor a hard-fought unanimous decision (97-93x 2 and 95-95), reflecting the razor-close action and elite skill on display from both fighters while cementing Taylor’s  legacy as one of boxing’s all-time greats and securing her third victory in this historic rivalry 

MVP’s reigning undisputed champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (16-1, 1 NC, 7 KOs) made a triumphant return to the ring, successfully defending her status as the undisputed super-featherweight champion with a commanding unanimous decision (98-92x2, 97-93) victory over Spain’s Jennifer Miranda (12-1, 1 KO). From the opening round, Baumgardner controlled the pace with crisp jabs, sharp counters, and intelligent movement, while Miranda fought valiantly but struggled to match the champion’s precision and speed. After ten competitive rounds, Baumgardner reaffirmed her dominance in the division and her place among boxing’s elite.

The fight attracted a star-studded ringside audience including Kevin Hart, Charlamagne tha God, Christopher McDonald, Luis Guzman, Gina Rodriguez, Michelle Buteau, Kiki Layne, Jaimie Alexander, Julia Stiles, Marcello Hernandez, Emily Rudd, Sam Jay, Swin Cash, Eleonora Srugo, Jordan Jensen, Reykon, Holly Holm, JoJo, Fabolous, Natti Natasha, Remy Ma, Fat Joe and more. 

 

MVP’s first homegrown champion Shadasia Green (16-1, 11 KOs) pulled off a memorable upset victory and took home the $250,000 Performance of the Night bonus  at Madison Square Garden, unifying super middleweight world titles with a hard-fought split decision win over MVP’s Savannah “The Silent Assassin” Marshall (13-2, 10 KOs). Throughout the thrilling, heavy-hitting bout, Green established her dominance against a heavily-favored and technically adept Marshall. The decision went to the  scorecards, earning Green the split decision 95-94 and 96-93, while Marshall took the third, 96-93. 

Opening the main card, MVP’s unified champion Ellie Scotney (11-0, 0 KO) delivered a masterclass performance, unifying three of the four major world titles at super bantamweight with a dominant unanimous decision win over former WBC champion and longest-reigning division champion Yamileth Mercado (24-4, 5 KO). Over 10 impressive rounds, Scotney showcased her superior boxing skills, controlling the pace and outmaneuvering Mercado, dropping Mercado twice in the final round before the bout went to the cards. The judges’ scorecards reflected her dominance, scoring her 98-92 x2 and a shutout 100-90, as Scotney added the WBC belt to her collection while successfully defending her IBF, WBO, and Ring Magazine titles. 

Headlining the preliminary card, MVP’s Australian champion Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson made boxing history tonight, becoming Australia’s first ever undisputed bantamweight champion in the modern four-belt era—male or female. The New Zealand-born Australian (18-2, 8 KOs) delivered a sensational performance, stopping IBF World Champion Shuretta “Chiccn” Metcalf (14-5-1, 2 KOs) with a commanding ninth-round TKO. 

MVP’s pound-for-pound super lightweight superstar Chantelle Cameron (21-1-0, 8 KOs) secured a dominant unanimous decision victory over Jessica Camara (14-4-1, 3 KOs). Cameron retained her interim WBC super lightweight title with impressive scorecards of 99-9x2 and 98-92, showcasing her superior skill and ring generalship throughout the bout. 

MVP’s multi-talented boxer, philanthropist, and high-fashion model, Ramla Ali (10-2, 2 KOs) secured a hard-fought points victory over Brazil’s Lila Furtado (11-3, 2 KOs) on the preliminary card. In a closely-contested eight-round bout, Ali emerged with the win by scores of 77-75x2 and 78-74.

MVP’s 2x Canadian Olympian and amateur world champion Tamm Thibeault (3-0, 2 KOs) delivered an emphatic statement for equality in women’s boxing in the opening bout, continuing to fight every fight of her pro career over men’s rules with three minute rounds. Thibeault stopped previously unbeaten and formerly #1 WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBF contender Mary Casamassa (6-1, KO) at 2:18 of the fifth round. The Canadian standout took full advantage of the three-minute rounds, becoming one of the fastest-rising world title contenders in Boxrec history with the win after just three professional bouts.
