MMA Frontline Fighters to Tour with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE)
MMA athletes and Lex McMahon, Jose Torres, Charles Rosa, Eryk Anders, and Tim Kennedy will be touring with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) as MMA Frontline Fighters. The tour, which will feature six events September 4–12, will visit bases throughout Europe. Several fighters in the group are returning to tour with AFE, and are veterans or have close ties to the military community.
Lex McMahon is the chief operations officer of Titan Fighting Championships (FC), a professional fighter, and a proud U.S. Marine. Under his leadership, Titan FC was named Worldwide MMA Promotion of the Year in 2018 and 2019. As a veteran, he served his country on the battlegrounds of Mogadishu, Somalia, during two deployments supporting Operation Restore Hope and Operation Continue Hope. He currently serves on the board of directors for America’s Heroes Enjoying Recreation Outdoors (AHERO), an organization focused on preventing suicide in the military veteran and law enforcement/first responder communities.
Jose “Shorty” Torres has a professional record of 13-4-1 and is a former Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) competitor and BRAVE Bantamweight Champion, along with once holding the Titan FC flyweight and bantamweight titles at the same time! He’s currently competing all over the world and has also become a sought-after color commentator.
Charles “Boston Strong” Rosa is a UFC Veteran, Brazilian jujitsu black belt, and five-time MMA Champion who has won “Fight of the Night” four times during his UFC career. He’s the current CES Lightweight Champion and has a professional record of 18-8, with 15 of his victories coming via finish. The Global Fight League recently drafted him, and he is very proud to be Boston Strong. He recently signed to fight with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) Ice Wars.
Eryk “Ya Boi” Anders is a veteran UFC middleweight owning a record of 17-8, with 17 of those fights inside the UFC Octagon. Ten of his 17 victories have come via knockout, and he is fresh off defeating UFC legend Chris Weidman at UFC 310. Anders is also a former linebacker for the Alabama Crimson Tide, winning a National Championship in 2009.
Tim Kennedy is a U.S. Soldier and MMA veteran who has competed in UFC and Strikeforce and holds a professional record of 18-6. He won the 2003 Extreme Challenge Middleweight Tournament and was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. He is the co-owner of the clothing company Ranger Up and the chief executive officer and owner of Sheepdog Response, a tactical training and self-defense company. He is also a co-founder and board member of Save Our Allies, which assists Americans and allies in conflict regions across the globe.
