London, 10 August 2025 – PROGRESS Wrestling is proud to announce that Golden Globe-winning actor and current PROGRESS Proteus Champion Paul Walter Hauser will make his Electric Ballroom debut at Chapter 183: 100 Volts, defending his title in a Fantastic Four-Way Match against Simon Miller, Charles Crowley, and Bullit.
In true Proteus Championship tradition, Hauser has chosen a unique stipulation – and this time, he is calling on the PROGRESS faithful to take part. The bout will be a Fans Bring the Weapons Match, making the audience an active part of the contest.
Hauser, who won the Proteus Championship earlier this year, laid out the challenge in a statement that highlighted PROGRESS Wrestling’s legacy and the special atmosphere of the Electric Ballroom:
“PROGRESS is one of the greatest wrestling companies of all time. Their storied history authored the future of professional wrestling with names like Pete Dunne, Prince Devitt, Zack Sabre Jr, Keith Lee, WALTER, Will Ospreay, Toni Storm and Man Like Dereiss.
While the roster makes the company, sometimes a venue can become just as influential to that company’s success. I’m being told that on August 25th at the 100th PROGRESS show in the Electric Ballroom, I will be facing Simon Miller, Charles Crowley, and Bullit.
But to whom the Proteus Title is given, a caveat is to be expected – and that’s a name. Simon, Charles, Bullit – I challenge you to a Fantastic Four-Way. And I’m going to need some audience participation. Not just the boos and chants and homemade signs. I need you – the fans, the pulse of PROGRESS – to provide the weapons.
You will put the fan in Fantastic. Keep it civilised, no knives, no Molotovs – but a bicycle chain, a trash can lid, or even the belt off your trousers? Get creative. I’ll bring the belt, you bring the weapons.”
The Proteus Championship is built on the idea that each champion chooses the rules for their defences, creating an ever-changing legacy. By bringing in the fans themselves, Hauser has added a new and unpredictable twist that guarantees chaos at the Electric Ballroom.
