REPORT: JAIRZINHO ROZENSTRUIK ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY “BITING” HIS PARTNER

Former UFC fighter and current Dirty Boxing Heavyweight Champion Jairzinho Rozenstruik found himself in trouble with the law because MMA Fighting is reporting that the fighter was arrested in Florida under two domestic violence charges.

Court documents obtained by MMA Fighting show that Rozenstruik was arrested by Pembroke Pines Police Department on January 19 and was placed in the main jail under immigration hold. The immigration hold only lasts for 48 hours.

The records show that Rozenstruik was charged with a third-degree felony charge for false imprisonment, with his bond set at $2,500. The second charge against Rozenstruik was for touch or strike/battery/domestic violence with that being a $1,000 bond.

MMA Fighting’s police report, which was obtained from the Pembroke Pines Police Department shows that police officers responded to a suspicious incident that, after an investigation, was determined to be domestic battery. Rozenstruik claimed that his partner was the one who was physical with him, while also telling the officers that they eventually figured their problems out without needing a police presence.

Rozenstruik was uncooperative during their investigation and didn’t provide much information, even after his partner had left the house. Police would eventually make contact with Rozenstruik’s partner and she claimed that they were arguing during a trip to their storage unit. The partner claimed that she first ignored Rozenstruik during the argument, which led to him slapping her and knocking her phone to the car floor.

She also claims that Rozenstruik physically restrained her from leaving the vehicle and that she punched him multiple times in self-defense. Rozenstruik’s partner said that he tried kissing her, but his advances were declined and she called him a “nasty beast.” That comment then led to Rozenstruik allegedly biting her in the bicep, Rozenstruik then moved the car while allegedly keeping the victim from leaving the vehicle.

The alleged victim eventually got free from the former UFC fighters and left the vehicle with her belongings. Police stated that there was “a visible bite mark on her right bicep, redness on both of her forearms and a red scratch/bruise mark under her right eye” and pictures were taken of the damage done to the victim. Rozenstruik was eventually arrested after not fully cooperating with authorities.

There has been no comment yet from the former UFC fighter or a representative at this time.
