A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Mexico City according to Leo Walker Guimaraes as Erik Silva faces Francis Marshall.
Silva (9-3-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping fights to the duo of TJ Brown and Muhammadjon Naimov. Silva did previously compete on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Anvar Boynazarov by first round TKO. Silva has competed 12 times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.
Marshall (8-3-0) has won two of five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Marcelo Rojo and Dennis Buzukja. Marshall also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Connor Matthews by unanimous decision. Marshall has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and they all came during his UFC tenure.
UFC Fight Night Mexico City takes place on Saturday, February 28 from Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico with Brandon Moreno and Asu Almabayev headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Paramount+.
