One fight has been removed from tomorrow night’s UFC 324 card after a scary situation happened during the weigh-ins. The scary situation involved bantamweight fighter Cameron Smotherman, who was scheduled to face Ricky Turcios at UFC 324, but Smotherman fainted and face planted on stage moments after weighing in.
MMA Junkie reports that “Smotherman was down for several minutes as commission, promotion, and medical workers tended to him. He appeared to faint again and was carried off by staff.” Smotherman was taken to a local hospital after apparently fainting a second time.
