A lightweight division attraction between Michael Johnson and Alexander Hernandez was set for the UFC 324 preliminary card, but was then pulled from the card a few hours before the show went live.
Talk surfaced quickly that the fight was pulled due to betting concerns and UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed that is exactly what went down.
"That's what it is," White said at a post-fight news conference (transcript via Nolan King of MMA Junkie). "It happened again. We got called from the gaming integrity service. I said, 'I'm not doing this sh*t again. So we pulled the fight."
The UFC has been the unfortunate victim of betting concerns surrounding fights in the past, with those issues involving Isaac Dulgarian and James Krause.
White also revealed that there will be an FBI investigation into the now canceled fight between Johnson and Hernandez.
"The FBI is already deep into this stuff anyway," White said. "I'm sure this one will be next."
