DANA WHITE RESPONDS TO CRITICISM OF COMMERCIALS AIRING DURING UFC 324

The UFC made their debut this past Saturday Night on Paramount+, which was headlined by Justin Gaethje defeating Paddy Pimblett to win the vacant UFC Interim Lightweight Championship.

A massive criticism levied against the UFC and Paramount+ during the event was the number of commercials that aired during the card, but UFC CEO Dana White says that Paramount has to recoup their money in that fashion.

"I haven't seen it yet and all of this is a work in progress," White told reporters after the event (transcript via Mike Bohn & Ken Hathaway of MMA Junkie). "It's $8.99. You're not paying f*cking however much anymore. These guys (at Paramount have) got to make some money, too, so yeah."

Paramount+ does charge $8.99 (USD) a month for their service and there is no upcharge for UFC pay-per-view events, which were $79.99 (USD) just last month.

White has a lot of praise for the UFC’s new broadcast partners, but promises things will get figured out.

"That is a fact (that they paid for it and get to decide) – let's start there," White said. "But these guys are incredible to work with already, so we'll figure it out."
