PROGRESS Wrestling issued:
Falcon ready to help elevate the Women's division at PROGRESS Wrestling
Alexxis Falcon is hungry for more success after her dream of winning the PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s World Championship came true at Chapter 189: In Darkest Night in emphatic style!
Falcon stopped Rayne Leverkusen’s title reign to claim the belt for the first time, which proved to be an unforgettable moment at Camden’s Electric Ballroom to kick off the new year.
Not only did the triumph against Leverkusen signify Falcon’s title, but she has also written her name in PROGRESS history, becoming the first person to win both a World Championship and World Tag Team Championship belt.
Alexxis believes she has come “full circle” at PROGRESS Wrestling after her victory, and she is now aiming to retain her belt when she faces former champion Rhio at Chapter 190: In Brightest Day on Sunday 15th February in Camden.
Falcon told progresswrestling.com: “It honestly feels surreal to be PROGRESS Women’s World Champion for the very first time. PROGRESS is a place that has shaped me as a performer.
“To finally hold the Women’s Championship feels like I’ve come full circle. “My ambition for 2026 is to be the PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s Champion who elevates the division and a true locker room leader.
“I am incredibly proud to be the first person to have held both the Women’s Championship and the Tag Team gold. To be recognised as someone who can lead a division and help build one means a lot.
“PROGRESS Wrestling has believed in me in different roles at different stages of my career and it’s not something I take lightly.”
Falcon is “so happy” to see PROGRESS support the growth of female wrestling, with this year marking a first-ever women’s division at Super Strong Style 16.
She added: “It shows how far the women have come in PROGRESS now we have a female Super Strong Style 16 tournament.
“We are a long way from one match on a card. We are now the Main Event, and everyone is talking about women’s Super Strong Style and I am so hyped for all the women who are in it.
“Tournaments like this change people’s careers so it’s so nice to see one for the women.
“Seeing PROGRESS Wrestling commit to the platform for women is something I’m so happy and proud about.”
