A heavyweight division attraction has been added to the April 4 UFC Fight Night card according to the Iridium Sports Agency as Guilherme Pat faces Thomas Petersen.
Pat (6-0-0) has already earned a single win under the UFC banner, having defeated Allen Frye at UFC On ESPN 73. Pat competed three times in the Spartacus MMA promotion, winning all of his fights there by KO/TKO. Pat has earned six wins as a professional MMA fighter and four of those came by way of KO/TKO.
Petersen (10-4-0) has won two of five in UFC competition, with those wins coming over Mohammad Usman and Don’Tale Mayes. Petersen competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Chandler Cole by second round submission. Petersen did go undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter, with three of those wins coming in the Legacy Fighting Alliance.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 4 from the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Renato Moicano and Chris Duncan headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Paramount+.
